Picket Fence Memories

Picket Fence Memories is seeking to become a leader in bringing a new era of scholarship to the world of competitive speech and debate (forensics). Our first series: Up For Debate, seeks to translate the year of policy research and debate into concrete policy proposals. Future works are in the planning stages. Utilizing print-on-demand services we seek to keep costs low both for publication and consumers.

Picket Fence Memories is run by experienced Speech and Debate Coach Danny Cantrell who is currently the assistant director of forensics at Cerritos College. He was recently awarded faculty of the year at Cerritos College for 2008-2009. Danny has over 10 years of experience in speech and debate and is a leading NFA-LD coach in Southern California. In 2007 he was elected Executive Secretary of the National Parliamentary Debate Association. His students consistently win awards in various debate events locally, regionally and nationally.

Danny has helped develop a leading online tournament registration site (forensicstournament.net), runs the only blog dedicated to NFA-LD debate (SoCal-LD.net), programed the premiere tabulation softare PlusTab 2.0, and the Middle School Public Debate Program Tab Software. He earned his MA in Speech Communication from CSU Fullerton in 2006.

Picket Fence Memories is located in La Mirada, California in Los Angeles County. When not working on something debate related he spends his time with his family.
